Phil, many thanks for posting so quickly. Wow. Now that is a quick sale. I'd say "well done" but the car might have had something to do with it....

And I was gonna say good luck with the sale at that price which makes it the most expensive Floride/Caravelle in Australia.

I seem to recall someone at the last B2B suggesting that Phil should sell the pretty Caravelle to him and to name his price. I think $40k was mentioned but probably all talk . Congratulations on selling it though Phil
Better get Barnie going quick Phil, before the post Caravelle selling blues kick in

The fast sale confirms the price was right for such a good car. Maybe a bit cheap compared to what's around.
    Well done.

    Thanks everybody for your congratulations.
Truthfully speaking, the Caravelle sold itself. We are so happy that it's going to a great new stable in Sydney with 5 other beautifully kept Renaults and being cared for by a real enthusiast.
We have an invite by the new owner to come see her anytime we're in Sydney.
I believe her first formal showing will be the French Car Day in Sydney July 2018.

    Cheers

Great to see them getting a higher price, I'll have to finish one of mine off and put it on the market and break the $30K.

I know a chap with a fully restored Floride (no mine) who is hoping for $35,000. He may well get close to that if he keeps trying.

Will be interesting to see what the Caravelle ( Floride S ) goes for at the Shannon's auction.

Yes, I wondered that. I know it's down to personal taste, each to their own etc. but for me, Phil's car was far more appealing than the Shannons vehicle. I think the colour is an acquired taste on that one

Really! Let's wish him well. It's time 'we' stopped undervaluing these cars.

Perhaps a caravelised Floride isn't worth as much as a very good original.... but here is hoping.

Hang on to yours for a bit longer 59 Floride and we'll see.

I already have a purchaser for my Floride, though nothing like the prices we are talking about here. Mine will be gone in the next few months.
