Default I'm guessing this one has been discussed before

    Hi Everyone,

Ok, Thanks for your help today with low voltage.

Next up is thinking about some exhaust / air filter mod's for the stock R10 1100cc motor.

My car still has the stock air filter canister and exhaust.

I was thinking of a pod filter bolted directly onto the carby and larger free flow exhaust, not a massive expense but just wondering how it could / would upset idle / acceleration etc.

Please advise your thoughts / experience / knowledge,

Or alternatively, you could line up the parts you may need (late model bellhousing and clutch fork; alternator if not already) and drop a 1289 or 1397 out of an R12 into the same slot. Even with std carbie and modded exhaust, it will be a huge increase in power and torque. Add a side draft Weber/dellorto and you’ll be set.

Hmmm, Interesting... Will research that a bit more but really didn't want to do a full engine swap.... I'm a simple guy! LOL

A pod filter will be pointless, just sucking all the hot air from inside the engine compartment. Nett effect; less performance than what you've already got.
