    Default Water in passenger footwell

    Hi,
I've noticed water dripping down from behind the glovebox with all this heavy rain. It's booked into the dealership next Wednesday but is there something I can do before then? Could it be a blocked drain?

    Model of car?

Sunroof drains and heaters are the common culprits. The latter has the smell of coolant.

My megane 2 was saturated because the drain had blocked.

You'd need to pull off the wipers and remove the cover below them to access the area below the windscreen.
The drains on the car were fairly well cemented up with mouldy leaf mulch and took a fair amount of poking with an old bike brake cable to free up.

Cheers, the drains were blocked. About 5 litres of water came out. My blowers in the car are no longer working, I'm wondering if the water has got Into the blower motor?

Let it all dry out and hairdryer the area . they might start working again , but water ingress sounds likely

I would take them apart right now and WD40 the hell out of them. The bushings are probably bronze, so they'll be fine, but shafts are steel and that will rust very quickly and never spin freely again. By next Wednesday you may be fine, you may not. If disassembly is not an option right now, I would try to blow some hot air down the vents whilst spraying copious amounts of WD40 in the hope hoping it will land on the shaft and displace the water. The trick might be totally pointless though if they are scroll type fans.
