Found a really great spot for the NoDiz. The hole was already there from factory. Hopefully have this installed by today. A few terminations to do. Another R17 owner planning to upgrade-1539400065633.jpg

    John,
It is your car, and you need to build as you want and see. I can only get it to where you carry on.

Carry on, it looks fine to me.

Thanks Ray. I'm not old school or modern. Somewhere in another realm maybe? Some of my woodwork shows that. And now I can do it with a French classic. But it will be nice as you say. 😊

I suggested that for the transmission hole in the floor. Nice bit of Tassie Sassafras with the dark and light contrasts I thought...

No he is going to make a small custom pine to hang from the rear view mirror.

Shoji, that sounds like a great business card idea

They make them to order at Sovereign Hill in Ballarat - just watched their complete old US-made wheel workshop in action. Fantastic gear with flat belts driving everything. I didn't see any flat steel tyres the right width though.....

    Hi Shoji

I like where you have placed that remote oil filter, just a couple of questions,

    #1
I know you said the new extractors interfere with the harmonic balance bar, have you got a work around for this? or have you decided not to use the harmonic balance bar?

    #2
Will the remote oil filter interfere with the sump guard? or is there enough room with the squat style oil filters?
    Regards Col

Took my harmonic balancer bar off once for a week.

Got new bushes and put it back on ASAP.

The engine was doing the olde Rock and Roll without those weights

We have not decided to use the system as it can't be fitted with the extractors in the way
This remote oil filter spot is the goods! heaps of clearance
Pipes will be interesting with the cooler up front but there is room for them to come out from the side of the radiator and into the bay.
The catch can spot is ok butthe fitting are straight so the pipe will be up in the air. I'm looking for 5/8/elbows/barb

Is your engine fully balanced? Ray said no need to use them and should be ok. And we are using NoDiz which should run smoother than dizzy
