Not exactly, I'm not sure what you mean by left and right hand types. If you mean are the RHD light units identical to the LHD light units, no. They are handed depending on whether they are for a LHD car or RHD car. Also the LHD 17 had convex headlight units.

This is an aussie car so RHD. Kindly forget the Euro versions here in the discussion

"If you mean are the RHD light units identical to the LHD light units, no."

Thanks Simon, you have stated that there are a left and right low beams, thank you, which means I'm missing one or the other

So which is which? going by these pics. Left or right that I do own.

I will list what I have once I know if I have left or Right Low Beams along with the rest of the collection.

Both of my Australian R17's originally had concav lights. So did my pommie 17G. One still has the original lights. Normal 5 and a quarter inch sealed beams fit in. I fitted a high and dip beam in one light space and a spot light the other. (In QLD the spot is not legal) It comes on with the high beam. The roadworthy guy never picked it up.

It's getting there, guys. There's an Alpine that has priority before a 17.

    I would say 2 x Alpines take priority over 1 x R17 any day!

    I say it does....... !!!!

So close I can feel it. But I wished people would sell stuff with an honest report on the product.

But another Dauphine has popped into the scene, as well as a "librarian blue" R8 G. But you guys will be dealt with in due coarse.

Now that's a personalized delivery vehicle

Also, using it for work. clearly a work vehicle and you can now offset future $$ to your tax

Those seats also look interesting Shoji. Would love to see your 17 but I will only be in Geraldton for a week in September this year and just overnight in Perth.

Neat, but you obviously need a roof rack for the bigger ones! R8 carrying capacity shown on attached photos.....

    Now John,
You are a true Kenyan, because I used to see R8s and 10s carry stuff like that in Southern Africa. Must be "continental" (????)

    And as for "nauli"
Where have you been all your life, have you not seen R8 Gordinis in "Moyen Blue" they look like a librarian's car (Gordini).
(I don't mean to offend anybody, but Renault Australia had no colour sense at all at that time. The colour deserves a WTF). But it is still a Gordini, so "I like it".

Yeah sorry guys. A bit off track now, but I thought it was funny that it fitted and that I can still do a delivery and enjoy the 17 drive tomorrow. Paper screen too. Not my work, I just replaced the paper, all torn up by a big dog that I don't want to meet tomorrow. Pick up some other supplies and then visit Schlitzy and then you Ray if that's ok?
To talk about the "Upgrade". Oil cooler fitting position this time... I could do that bit before the bay gets a paint or earlier.

I'll definitely take that as a compliment! At risk of thread capture I'll show more.... R8 in standard camping mode - we still use the boxes!

Found the Dave Andrews advice on Weber DCOE's very interesting. He has a jetting tool that would be very helpful for many (jetting.exe (DOS)) Thanks Ray.
