    Default Need some help !!!

All the A110 owners and knowledgeable people.

Sam's A110 has got me baffled, mainly as i have worked on only a few.

Window winders, does anybody have a winder out of the car or a picture of one. The ones fitted to Sam's car, I am sure are not the correct ones fitted. They interfere with the window slide arrangement. I have the window slide and quarter light aligned perfectly with the seal rubber, with the door fully aligned to the body, so everything is true. But the winder toothed segment hits the window slide frame. As if the winder body is too thick. And all else fits in perfectly. The parts book shows a similar winder frame mech, but the coil spring sits inside the door, and this one is on the inside face of the door.

If I could see one first hand I can fabricate something like it, out of what I have got.

    Hi Ray

I found these pics here which from memory are correct:

    Blog de alpine-a110-in-force - Page 4 - alpine a110 - Skyrock.com

As can be seen the ones from Sam's car have been modified, they are suppose to have an off set in the end that attaches to the metal frame below the glass.

Hope this helps a little, been a few years since I had mine out, and as you guessed I never took any pics.

    Hi COL,
You are a star, the second one is exactly the picture I needed. I can now make what I need to fit in the door. The picture is downloaded and on a memory stick already, so I can do some work tomorrow.

    Thank you a great help,
    Ray

    Hi COL,
Thank you for the research on the 2 articles. They are great, as much as I do not think I would go to the extent of making my own toothed segments, the man is most dedicated.

    Thanks,

I have worked out how to modify, and 1 is almost ready to be tested in the car. Looks perfect, so it must be perfect .......

I was on night shift at work, dare I say with not much to do. I also learnt a bit from trawling that website.

    COL,
    Your help was much appreciated.

As from the correct picture for the part, above, I have been able to make.

They work perfectly in the situation, all I need to do is a little bending of the arm for final assembly with the glass.

    That was a good one,
