Default Jaahns new cool Captur !

    Hi
We made the big step last month and purchased an as new Captur. Very happy with it. As you all know there were specials being offered to shift some Renault stock. If you did not then get in there now

However being a fussy bast*rd I wanted a particular colour and not readily available at a dealer, so good they sold out I guess . So onto the web and a look. Found a deceased estate just right and only 6500 ks, less than some demo models I saw. Only problem interstate !! What does that matter in the current age. On the train to Vic over night. Looked as described etc so paid the money and off. Just a 1600 Kms drive home.

Good drive too. So good in fact we went over the windey Snowy Mountain road to look at a bit of early snow. Yes we did see some and in fact drove on a bit too. The morning was frosty and the car was covered in frost. Started up no worries of course, as all new cars do. No coughing and farting like "the good ol'days"

Very happy with the driving. Easy to handle, auto works seemlessly on the road. Perhaps not quite as perfect from a suburban start but OK. Got 5.4 Lt/100ks on the trip at the speed limit on the free ways and toll roads. Happy with that as it is half my previous diesel Toyota. The seats are good. Position able to be adjusted to my liking and highish too. Happy !!

    Hi Jo
    C'est moi.
To those who would like that number plate, it is available now, as i handed it in when I transferred the rego. To be honest I did not notice it Must have been concentrating on other aspects
We do not get any really frosty mornings or snow here in Newcastle so it was pleasant to see the cold and snow on the way through. Not sure i want it more than that ? But the Captur heater worked well

Congratulations, they are a beautiful looking vehicle.
I test drove the 900cc manual and the 1.2 auto the same day I test drove the Clio Cup. Sadly for my bank account, the Clio won.
Had the Captur had a little more poke I would have bought one in a heartbeat. Coming from a Scenic Rx-4 with the 2litre engine and manual gearbox, the Captur just didn't excite me to drive it on a daily basis.
I did love the way you could choose the colour scheme and match the roof colouring to the body style whatever way you liked.
    Enjoy your new ride mate,

Oh boy, that is quite a hit the poor thing has taken.
May I ask why you would buy a car that is so completely destroyed?

    Thanks

A somewhat moot point since the original owner has carced and after driving a measly 6500 km.

HIM IS FKED , may be a more appropriate plate number.

FWIW I believe David- French Connection "has handed back the keys" and no longer sponsors AF.

AF management, seems not have taken into account (yet)

Oh Good Lord! I didn't even notice all that on the bottom of David's post.
Thanks for saying, and thanks to the member who PMed me in the mean time to say the same.

Probably should have put two and two together anyway.

    Thanks
