    Default 15TS windscreen

Help. Have just put cracks in the windscreen of my 15 and have tried about seven different places for a wnndscreen-no luck so far. One company can set up to produce them but need a group purchase to do so. Does anyone know of a supplier? Otherwise it may be a'scrap it' job.

Try French Connection in Melbourne - Dave knows a guy that was making old screens.
Let me know as I have a R17

Try Moran Motor Glass in Wakerley, Brisbane. They're very helpful when it comes to rare windscreens in my experience. James

Have you tried Ralph Moore Autoglass in Sydney?
That's where I got my R17 one from many moons ago. If he doesn't have it he regularly imports from overseas - depending on how urgent it is.
Also try Angru on A/F if you are after a used one or Jensen.

Moran glass as well as Glass4classics can both set up to remanufacture R15/17 windscreens but at quite a cost and with a couple of months to deliver. Either way owners of 15/17's needing a screen will have to pay a premium when a new screen is needed. Second hand screens sound good but freight for transit to sunny Qld still expensive.

I see you're in Bundy. If you decide to go with Moran & want to drive down to Brisbane on a weekend (when they're closed), I could pick it up & you could get it from my place instead. Cheers, James.

    Hi,
I purchased a brand new laminated windscreen for my 17 one year ago from Jennings Windscreens in Sydney. I saw they had 3 on the rack right next to mine. It cost me $240.00.
    Good luck.

It looks like geedee is spoilt for choice.
Funny how you would reckon getting glass for old cars would be a real problem, but it seems you can buy a windscreen for just about any car. Even really obscure ones, and I dont mean to say the Renault here is obscure.

Stimpy, how did you go with the windscreen rubber when you swapped screens out?
Was it knackered or did you use the old one?
I know they are available. Mine is an original screen and would benefit with a new screen.
But the rubber has shrunk and parted in the lower corners. so a new rubber may be needed.

Hey John, I have still got my old windscreen rubber and it's pretty good. The new windscreen rubber is a bit skinny up top and had to be caulked in heavy. So I thought about swapping it back to the original and perhaps we can work on a trade for something.
