Default 1.4 engine main bearings (first under)?

Does anyone have (or have a source of) first undersize main bearings for the 1397cc R12 engine?

    Hi Peter,

I assume that you will have the big journal mains. I think all 1400s has the big mains.

Don't know of any local stuff in NZ or Aus.

Peter, as it happens I have just had my 1.4 c (1397) crank reworked by Crankshaft Rebuilders in Melbourne and Colin Stark of Alpine Affaire supplied the bearing set for first grind .25 . I think Colin keeps them in stock.
    Cheers

Cranks are under size: bearings to match are oversize

Ah, I was relying on the common shorthand in which 'first undersized bearings' is shorthand for 'bearings suitable for first undersized journals'.

    Sorry Gents !!!
Bearings for a ground crankshaft are Undersized, as the bore of the bearing is smaller than standard (?????)

Try phoning Precision International auto parts !!!

Upon reflection you are indeed correct and I unreservedly apologize for my brain fart.
