Looking through some Spanish R4 websites came across the very interesting Vehicle.

This "vehicle" was a 1967 prototype approved by Renault.
It was made on the frame of R4, with the cabin as far forward as possible to win back space.

This prototype was made with the collaboration of SOVAM. Which later produced the VUL (Utilitaire Véhicule Léger), very similar to this prototype, but shorter (also based R4).

Fascinating what Prototypes were tried by the emerging Renault company. Renault Spain obviously felt a light pickup would be a great seller. I think it is quite COOL !!!!

Sooo the engine must be between the seats? That'll make it easy to adjust the mixture while travelling
