    Default Dauphine help needed

    Hi Guys,
I'm re-assembling the mechanicals of the Dauphine and need some help. (Photo of where I am up to below).
I'm at the stage of installing the radiator and understand it sits across the gearbox. I have no idea how it attaches. Does anyone have any 3D photos?
The manual and parts manual don't really help me - I just need to visualise how it all goes together.

    Thanks in advance.

The bottom stud goes into the outer lug on the gearbox. The radiator has a metal loop on each side with a rubber bush with a steel inner.

Thanks guys. Looks like I might need to do some scrounging this afternoon to find those mounts to the gearbox.

Looks to me as if you could just bolt them into place at the bottom with suitable spacing washers. On the 4CV you couldn't easily get the radiator over a fixed mounting stud like the one shown at the bottom on the Dauphine drawing, or maybe not at all. It's a standard 14 mm bolt (spanner size, I mean).

    Nice and clean, your car.

    Cheers

(You don't have any spare R1092 rear springs do you? 4cvg is chasing a pair.)

    Hi John,
I might need to take you up on that offer. I can't find the mounts in any of the boxes - not helped that I didn't pull it all apart. I'll drop into Daves in the next few days to jog his memory but might come back to you if I don't get any joy.
    Cheers...Paul

Good news John - the mount has been found.
And it wasn't even Dave's fault. I had it all along but it was hiding from me.
I'll try and install it this weekend.

    Cheers..Paul

So of course you have apologised to Dave.

it won't go backwards... Cause it's not a crossmember or a gearbox mount.

Mildly amusing Mr Angru. Just for that you can come and fit the engine when Steve's finished with it. And while you're at it the brakes will need checking, fluid and bleeding. I reckon we wait till mid winter???

Well picked up young man. I've got a new one to fit anyway so will make sure it gets corrected.
