Default Anyone have an update from Barry?

    Hi All

I have been past Barry's yard and there's no change. If someone has an update this could be useful.
I went over there the other day and Barry has taken to sitting in his car up the road under a tree, watching who goes there. I went over to say hello, waved to him, he looked at me then started the car and drove off.

I really am at a loss at what - if anything - to do. I'd love to acquire some of the things he has (as I have - regardless of cost - over the years tried to do) but it is now seemingly impossible to approach/ contact him.

If these cars were Bugattis or WO Bentleys there'd be auction houses and lawyers staging an intervention in a fully catered air conditioned marquee, repleat with the world's car media.

    Thinking caps on?

I am of the opinion nothing is likely to happen. And the entire stock will be horded or crushed.

And there little anyone can do except lose too much sleep.

I drove past on thursday. It's exactly how you describe. I had a cryptic and confusing text conversation with him a few weeks back. He said he'd contact me to arrange a time to meet at the yard but lo and behold.......never heard from him.

Gagging him and tying him to a post out the front is the only way anything is going to leave that yard. Gag him, tie him to the post, grab what you need, and stuff the money in his pockets as you leave.

The settlement for sale of the property has been delayed three times already. Robmac is right......there's only one way I see this going.

Sounds like a sad personal story lurking not far below the surface.

Best not aired I suspect, and hopefully someone at a personal level will help behind the scenes.

If there is a new owner, if settlement actually happens, that might be the only time to move, and fast, once the new owner can be found and contacted.

Best wishes from the West with that.

As Addo pointed out earlier, and has resulted in me altering my posting style.

Conjecture on the topic may not be welcomed by the owner of the Car yard especially in an open forum for all to see.

Might be best for us all if we just forget about it.

If there are developments (little possibility), I'd let everyone know.

Otherwise it may be best to let the sellers actions (or lack thereof) speak for themselves.
