    Default Dauphine help needed

    Hi guys,
I've got a number of questions for the aficionados that I need some help with please.

Firstly should there be some sort of duct between the vents behind the rear door and somewhere?
Secondly I need to source the hose between the intake pipe and air filter as attached below. I am looking for the 8543 588. I do have the old one but it is perished but I could use it as a mould for someone to make a replica - but who does that?
Lastly is anyone wrecking a Dauphine? There's going to be all sorts of little bits a and pieces I'll need during re-assembly and it would be great to know of a source of parts (preferably Vic but not fussed).

That reminds me of the day many moons ago when I was driving my Dauphine away from the shops and it mysteriously lost power with some sucking sound from the front. Pulled over and opened the trunk to find the Dauph was trying to inhale a shopping bag through the air intake

Sorry, that hasn't helped you though ...
    cheers,

    John

From memory they only have a cardboard like card that goes from the side of the radiator to the inner guard ,its also helpful to have the metal guards ,fitted from the engine block to the chassis rail ,my background is mainly 4cv from way back, pugs

For the hose it might be worthwhile going through the radiator hoses at Supercheap to find an equivalent.

Best way I suspect - you might need two hoses, joined with a bit of steel or aluminium tubing of the right size. I think those filter arrangements were very much the export models, as the French suppliers don't seem to stock them.

I think I have a solution to the hose dilemma.
Got one close enough from a VN Commodore that with a cut and one join should do the job.
Now that the Dauphine will have a Holden bit it'll be fully syck.
    Cheers...Paul

Or are you releasing your inner bogan.
