Default Le Taxi Story Continued !!!

I added my "Le Taxi" story in the "Side Draft Webers" thread. Well I came across a picture today that just adds a bit to the story.

SS2: The R4L "Le Taxi" Story: Renault 4-Play

As mentioned in the story, My box trailer became as famous as Le Taxi, as it went on many escapades with the other Renaults in our future collection. It had a flat box section chassis, that had an R4 suspension bolted to it. I then made a 25x25 box tube frame with galv sheet cladding that bolted on top of the chassis, and it had a hinged lockable lid. Could get all the camping gear in it and only cloths bags and sleeping bags went inside the car. It also had a set of bolt on channel rails for mounting motor bikes on. It did thousands of km behind our cars and some of that was rough terrain as well. The picture is the white 16TS and the R6 outside our cottage in Port Elizabeth in ZA.

Ray, the folk at Gazolene magazine in France would absolutely love that great story. Shortened a bit and in French of course.... There's serious interest in R4 activities and Raids, as you can see very clearly from part of the focus of the webpage of Melun Retro Passion.

    Cheers

I Have decided to turn this into "The R4 Appreciation" thread.

Starting by putting in a very nice link to the R4 in Europe

Allez-y... Vous Ítes en Renault 4!

    Enjoy
