    Default 4cv 289 gearbox

    Hi all,
    currently overhauling my 289 gearbox from my 4cv I have a manual but it only has bp3 transmission in it the secondary shaft is a different setup does anyone have the manual with 289 in it or does anyone have advise on how best to get back together as having difficulty getting engaging sleeve and spacer lined up

    I assume that you're a member of the 4CV register (if not, why not be?). I imagine that mailing Frank with a request that your query be distributed to members would bear fruit.

    Peter's advice is good.

    Also, the later model 4CV English language workshop manuals come up reasonably often for sale on ebay. It is M.R. 33 EA (for Edition Anglaise I suppose) and comes in a green hardback folder with brass screwy things holding it all together. It covers the 289-2 transaxle in detail.
