    Default LogbookMe Device Installation

Does anyone know if a 2003 Megane Cabrio is fitted with an OBD port and if so where is it? The Missus has been given a device that plugs into an OBD port that tracks parking, required by her employer for FBT calculations and I have to fit it by tomorrow! Help!

Maybe you could get one of these and mount the device remotely.

Thanks all, again! The unit only has to be fitted for the 12 week reporting period so we'll wait and see if the current setup is ok with W's heel and toeing..........

    G'day Kim,
I would say let the employer fit it.
    regards,

I would suggest installing in the employer, preferably sideways and well up.

I did consider that avenue, however the unit is not GPS enabled (i.e: a tracker) and my wife earns a huge salary......

So if you wrapped it with 40 pound lead flashing and hooked it in with a remote lead via the boot, they wouldn't find any issues with what it could still report?

You may well be right. I think the whole system is an imposition on personal rights, particularly as W's entries and exits from the parking venue are already available via swipe card data. Her car and it's running costs are not provided by her employer (a 2003 Megane?), just her St. Kilda Rd parking. There should be absolutely no reason to record her driving history as well!
