    Very unusual article in the motoring section of last Sunday's Sunday Mail.

    It was an article about the new Megane that the tester happened to drive while in Europe.
    Not going to be released here for another year or so supposedly.

    It's unusual for two reasons;

    1. They don't often test the 'run of the mill' European cars as a rule. 'Exotic' Europeans, yes. Your Hyundai, Subes, Mitsubishi, Holdens, Fords, etc. usually get a mention but not the volume Europeans.

    2. They actually liked it and gave it a good rap.

    Maybe with the demise of the Australian car manufacturing the motoring journals might spread their wings a bit further and look past the Jap/Korean offerings

    The Sydney Moaning Herald scribes have eyes only for Golf and Mazda. Some of the strange or ignorant things they say when they deign to get into anything French are worth starting a sticky.

    I thought the same thing. And then saw this Renault Megane GT first drive video review in The Age last week.

    A very positive review.

    I think that one of these cars might feature for me when I retire the Laguna (maybe will give me a good excuse to pass that on to my son in a year or so )
