    Default R8G wiring question

    Here is one for the brains trust.
    Can anyone identify the wires in the photos. They come in the main loom to the battery area. There are 5 wires-
    * 1x grey.
    * 1x White.
    * 1x off white or cream.
    * 1x Yellow.
    * 1x Pink.

    Also the driving lights come on with the low beam. I have swapped the wires over on the switch but still the same and the wires to the lights are correctly connected.

    Thanks for any help you can give.R8G wiring question-20151209_122756.jpgR8G wiring question-20151209_122818.jpg

    Sorry, really can't help with that. But I'd change the rubber hose!

    Have you got one? I have been looking but can't find one. I have something similar but it doesn't look right and is hard to bend to shape.

    Hi Paul

    Here is a wiring diagram from another 8G thread. Post #8 has the wiring diagrams in it.

    Alas no. But I think a rummage at a place selling silicone hoses, plus a short length of metal pipe, might turn up two hoses that work with a spacer between them. I know where to go in Perth but that is little help. Best wishes for it. I see Col has come good with advice!

    Hi Paul, I stuffed around for ages trying to solve exactly the same problem with the driving lights but can't for the life of me remember what I did to fix it.I do recall it wasn't the switch but seem to recall it was the relay wiring.Hope Col has come to the rescue! Cheers Brian

    HI Paul, the 2 items you are looking at are the alternator regulator and a relay for the Cibie Spots in the centre. Of course the diagram is mirror image for the RHD car, and comes from the LH front "a" pillar across the front firewall (inside) to the steering and then out through the RH front firewall and mirrors the first "LH page".

    Not sure what all the white wires are for.???

    Is it a new loom???

    The wiring in the front of Graeme's G

    The regulator on the back of the battery box is gone, with the Suzuki mini alternator with built in Regulator. All lights are on relays and a spare unit for Fog Lamps if required, and all fused at the front, as well as fuses controlling all the dash and steering column.
