    Default Renault fuego

For the Fuego owners you may find this interesting. These are the front and back cover of a 10 page brochure produced in the not so stunning colours of black and red, obviously Renault had little money to spend in promoting their vehicles or was it left to the local dealer?

What a good find! That looks like it would have been a dealer issued launch brochure from 1982. Featuring the guy who was unaffected by the Fuego, and the pronunciation of Fuego, which were used in the Rotogravure colour advert inserted into the national press on the launch of the Fuego.

My first thought was "They gave it to the work experience kid". So much like a school project, it's almost endearing.

I wonder what the "dealer preparation" was and how much they charged for it.

Icon10 No spin, truth in advertising. What you get as a Fuego owner.

Absolutely truth in advertising, what it was then and what it IS today, what more could one want and yes it would have been early advertising as Simon says, not a mention of the Plip remote door lock operation, that featured in many of the later glossier brochures.

Ask a Fuego owner who appreciates the car and its road holding and exquisite design qualities.

    No need for fancy spin.

In 1986 for all Renault products 18,20 TS, 25 and Fuego the A * Service between 1000 and 3,000 km was quoted as FREE
    For the Fuego and 25

    B Service every 10,000 km $65.00

Even cheaper in earlier service bulletins.!!

*Note Lubricants, fluids parts, etc are charged for separately - Renault Importers 1.11. 86

the copy certainly features a beguiling swathe of adjectives, most befitting a "fway-go"
