Icon9 Sad R10 on car sales

There is a nice R10 on Carsales.
In the first photo with a closeup of the front, the car looks sad.
The two headlights, renault badge and a bumper turned down at the ends make it look like it is a bout to cry.
I had not noticed that before.

    I know the car.
It required an extensive amount of work to get it road worthy for registration in WA. Even though it had just recently been given a clean bill of health in an annual inspection in its state of origin. The engine and gearbox came out, to fix numerous and extensive oil leaks. All was extensively cleaned and painted before re-installation. New clutch as well, new engine and gearbox mounts, repaired gear change. New axle bearings and seals, and axle boots. Recored radiator, new hoses. The car had a complete brake overhaul, as all parts were leaking fluid. Front suspension had top bushed replaced and new ball joint boots fitted, new wheel bearings and seals, and then a proper wheel alignment done.

When I first saw the advert, I did not recognise the car, and thought the price rather high, but then realised it was a WA car and one I had done a lot of work on. I would say that the car is relistic value for what it is, as it is a climb in and drive car.

I got a little excited by the "sad" and the WA rego plates, thinking I could get a rear engined Renault for when I'm in Perth as a cheap run around instead of hiring a car all the time.
    Then I saw $8.3K, damn.

I meant sad as in like a face. The car looks great.
It is funny how some car grills look like facial expressions.
    some better than others.

The recent peugeots with their wide grill looked like a clown trying to catch flies with their mourh.

the moris minor and mini looked quite happy cars with a rounded crome bumper and large round headlights.

what othe cars had face like expressions?

$8000... I guess it could be worth that. Old unique cars are the hardest to price. It is a very fine line between a fair price and a $12000 renault 12

Ah, THAT Renault. Quite a nice car. Certainly a buy and drive one.

It's not a bad buy actually. Not a ridiculous price considering the amount of work done recently.

The state of origin clean bill of health was "interesting".

    You only need one buyer.
