Default Laguna II PSA ES rockercover and cam box sealing home job

hey guys i just got my first frog. The layout is the best ive seen for working on. i don't understand how the cost for renault to work on it is so damn steep. 1400$ to get the rockercovers looked at. i assume i have the common rockercover and cam box leak. i want to get as familiar with this car as can be to keep it as clean and perfect as possible. i was wondering if anyone would be able to send a link or pdf for a workshop manual on the 2003 laguna second gen with the 3.0 litre v6 PSA ES engine. it would be super helpful thankyou

French car franchises are a joke
Doing the cam covers takes about an hour including a coffee break
The induction manifold comes off easily
Leave the throttle body on the manifold

What is it about Perth that everyone is trying to rip everyone else off?

Good thing Aldi is heading over there soon with its nationwide pricing. You need it!

The cam boxes are a bit more involved than just the covers - you need to pull the timing belt and then remove all four cams. Agree that $1400 is a bit steep, but a properly done job is still going to take a good 6 hours, add the cost of a good quality sealant and the fact that most workshops will charge to do the job twice (how else do you think they can provide a warranty?), the dollars soon add up.

Have you got more than one quotation here in Perth? There is more than one option. PM me for suggestions if you like.

    Cheers

That's a bit harsh. Not my experience and I live here. Some places I wouldn't go of course.

    re the Aldi comment though.
