Default R8 brakes calliper rebuild question

    Hi all,

Having finally gotten all brake bits off my R8 for a refresh (front right sticking on was the catalyst), I have been made aware of a new issue. The local guy I have commissioned to do the re-kit tells me all 4 cylinders are too corroded to just fit new seals. The callipers themselves are not a problem.

Does anyone know of a place that still re-chromes pistons?

Or failing that, does anyone have any serviceable pistons surplus to your requirements?

    Thanks a lot.
    Keith

Keith, I have a set of callipers that I overhauled with new seal kit prior to deciding to go the R16 big brake route. They are surplus to my requirements and you are welcome to have them. You would be wise to dismantle and check them prior to use but should be fine. PM me with your details. Cheers Brian
