Looks dreadful... Overstyled. Those headlight look ridiculous.

    Whatever happened to clean design...?

Ah, the sighs of anguish from those whose stylistic dreams remain in the forties, fifties and sixties! There is some compelling evidence to suggest that if your brand of car looks REALLY different today, it wont sell. Every car has to look similar to all the others but with subtle and minor differences that can only be picked out by the cognoscenti. Which is why a Toyota Corolla grille looks amazingly similar to that of a Clio, or a Hyundai Veloster is pretty well a clone of a Megane RS.

I quite like the look of it, especially the side profile. Not too keen on how far in the rear tail lights come, but it's not ugly, so I certainly wouldn't rule it out. I hope it drives.

It looks pretty good for 2015 in a generic way, but I'm glad I'm holding a true 'bustle back' megane. A true design icon (and obviously too much for the general public to accept).

Nice, no complaints here - but I'm a diesel driver - so what would I know?

There's a bit on Go Auto on the new Megane and also the Spanish tradie, which I think looks pretty cool.

I'm not in the target market, so it doesn't do a lot for me, apart from just being another baby crusher type vehicle.

I just wonder who signed off on the global design though, when you read stuff like this: "a centrally mounted aluminium tailpipe" you sort of wonder if they have even given the slightest thought about what they are designing. Who are the major buyers of these things? Tradies, horsey people, outdoorsy people, all the sorts of people who have a towbar fitted..........

From the A pillar back is fine, even the bonnet is good.
The front looks like it was designed by someone from Ssanyong (famous for their extremely ugly cars).
It's all well and good being different as long as different doesn't equal ugly and the headlight/bumper IMO qualifies as ghastly.
Maybe a few front-on crash tests will improve the frontal appearance.

I think you might have missed the tarhet market, Simon! I see very few horses pulled along behind Meganes of any ilk, let alone tradies trailers. The target market for this vehicle are the people who are into centrally mounted aluminium exhaust pipes, who, by Renault's assessment must number in mega purchasing hordes.

P.S: I'm sure Messrs Hayman Reece will have the towbar aspect covered for the horse/trading people.

Where is the problem with this exhaust design ?

I have to say - I love the styling. But then again I have a Big Butt Megane and love it, where others might not.

    Cheers
