You guys have lost the plot currupting him with the wrong ones, aiming to high in price and obtaining.
Lets keep it simple, and cheap but high in the skill and difficulty factor, that's what he desires and strives for.
A coupe Dauphine convertible, we all want to see it done properly and so does he.
I'm sure in QLD we can find a rusty Floride to cut up as a doner and a half decent Dauphine at a fair price to bung all the Floride bits on.

    Thanks Rob. There's your photo's.

Cut up Floride for windscreen metal, door hinge area, door latch panels, rear parcel shelf, top section of bonnet area. You will also need Floride doors, hard top and soft top.

Angle grind all deleted panels and parts off Dauphine, mig weld all Floride parts and panels in. A little bog and paint, done.

Simple, just measure twice and cut once, making sure you also get the heights and set backs correct.

Then if you really want to impress, drop in a Clio Sport
    front end 2ltr.

You're got more chance to get his rusty green Floride, and that's got you half way there, just a Dauphine to find.

Sorry Graham but you'll need to negotiate that with my family when that time comes.

You can see why I thought I'd died and gone to Heaven at the big event at Montlhery! Knees weak at every photo.

Even better than an R12 Gordini. Or R8 Gordini. And almost any other Renault.

I agree, but seems it would be unobtainable.

Fabulous. Did you hear the last words on the video? "Where are the louvres?" or similar. It's a transition model with a front radiator but faux alligator bonnet styling. Those louvres allowed the air IN through the side/rear mounted radiator on earlier cars.

    Thanks for posting that link.
