    Default Quaife LSD for Renault/Lotus Boxes

    I have a 365 box to fit into my 12 that I will be giving a freshen up with some new bearing and seals before fitting it and now I'm looking into the Quaife LSD.

    Quaife have this LSD listed as a for a Lotus Europa, which obviously shares the same engine and box as the 17 with a few small changes, but wanted to check that there were no other differences in terms of the box, i.e. will the listed LSD fit in the 17 box without issues?

    As a small diversion from the focus of the question, I gather from an acquaintance with an A110 1.3 that a Quaife LSD can be fitted to the R8/R10 330 box & that Collier's in Sydney can assist.

    Quaife make 2 Diffs the QDF 2X which fits R16/5 and Lotus Europa 336 and 385 boxes (10 bolt) not R8 boxes unless modified to take the big crownwheel and pinion
    and the QDF 3X which only fits the 365 as fitted to 12G,17G A310 and certain Lotus Europa (10 bolt) it does not fit 352 or 395
    any help??????????

    Yep, clears things up a lot.
    Now if we can all offer sacrifices to our various automotive deities hoping that the box is in perfect running order when I pull it apart

    dauphproto or anyone else is there an LSD to suit the 330 gearbox in the R8/10?

    If not how hard is it to modifiy the 330 to take the big R16 336 crownwheel and pinion?

    Why not talk to Collier's or, closer to home, Rob Seeley or Colin Stark (Alpine Affaire)?

    Rob S converted my (std R10) 330 box with R16 internals (4 speed), but fully locked the diff (not lsd).

    I understand there were a few other bits and pieces needed from an early R8 box, but best left to those who know what they are doing.

    Also the universal joints to the axels needed to be upgraded.
