I heard an interpretation that the lines were put on the side the driver sat on, to aid rescue workers assist the driver out of an overturned R8G by indicating which side he will be on. True or not, unsure.

Therefore, in a RHD world they would be on the correct side.

You could always paint the heater hoses white and have top and bottom stripes then....

I like the car but your hub caps are missing. By choice or cannot find good ones?

Ye gods! Those driving lights look like they've had too much red (or, perhaps, blue) cordial.

I posted this a couple of weeks back in Renault Eye Candy. Bit small but perhaps someone with better skills than me can enhance it, Cheers Brian

I'd say Peter Jansen left it behind, after entertaining the young lady and doing research on his future rally car.

I presume shes supposed to be santas little helper , and how douse the 4 stud alloy wheel fit into the equation ,the hat has me a little confused as well ,think what they are implying is that these modifications will blow your mind ,and on closer inspection that large steering wheel seems to be similar diameter to the spoked road wheel ,b like driveing a bus, pugs

That's right. Note the tied bow on top of the hat with the two earflaps on the side.

your eyesight's better than mine with that blurry photo Simon. I can see something on top, but no earflaps.
I'll go with your interpretation in lieu of further evidence.

Sort of keeping on thread :-). Pic attached of Peter Janson and friend with works 8G (Ripped from Bob Watson's book - In Control). Note the deerstalker flap isn't entirely visible because of the fabric pattern. Also the hat in the pic with the young lady only has a peak front and rear, there is no brim on the sides of the hat (like a pithy). The pic also appears in one of the Gordini books, L'Ecole R8 Gordini from fuzzy memory, and it shows up better.
