    Default Key replacement/repair advice.

Hi guys new to this.....was told by a friend about this forum. I have a Kangoo 2009 model (Auto) petrol and have just warn out the rubber cover that is over the "open" button on my key. The only way I can use it now is with a stick or pushing hard with my finger. I believe the price of replacement costs an arm and a leg but was also told that you can get a new cover for the keys. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

There are several places in the UK that do Renault key repairs for Kangoo

Renault Traffic,Master,Kangoo key repair or refurbish. Renault Traffic Kangoo Master key repairs

    Renault Keycard Repairs

I have recently had key cards repaired for both my Megane and my Laguna. Even allowing for postage to the UK and the poor exchange rate the cost was much much less than buying a new key card.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks for that Ian I only have one key so that would be hard. I would have thought even in the Gold Coast I could get it repaired

I'm not sure ... The market for specialist Renault key repairs is quite small in Oz.

However, maybe others will have experience/suggestions. :-)

Absolutely no idea what they is like but I bought a key case for my fiancées Pug for $10 off eBay and switched out internals and key blade. Dealer quoted her $500 for replacement key when only the rubber button cover was rooted!
