    Default R20 ebay

1982 Renault Hatchback in Mount Macedon, VIC | eBay

You don't see too many of these, A 1983 R20 barn find in Victoria, last registered in 2007.

Looks pretty complete under all the grime but of course you have to look at the thing.

Just says Victoria, the vendor could be a bit more forthcoming with a location.

Get it John, get it, and be quick before the bidding war erupts. You know you need/want this.

I didn't know Ren Tin Tins name was John.

There's two other Florides for sale in Melb besides mine and I haven't even called the sellers or even thought about getting them.

I remember checking out a brand new one of these in the long gone Borgelt Renault showroom. I tried convincing Mum to buy it without success
    cheers,

Forget the r25.... thems the stuff brain rocks are made from.......but go for the r20.
Get the car an unregistered vehicle permit, fly down change the fluids and drive it home.

I've had an old banger version of each. Loved the r20 and hated the r25.
If it wasn't so brown I'd probably buy it myself.

R20 are great cars. Any one in the market for a large older car can't go wrong with a 20.

What gearbox would that have? It's just down the road from me, might have a look.

    Hi,
nice car. The combination of that gearbox and engine is known to last forever.

Too bad about the rust under the side window...

It is the Australian Version that should have the 369 box, just like the R30 V6 and R20 2.2tx and hydraulic clutch. In Europe, the Phase 2 TS was sold with the NG3 box / cable clutch and the 4*100 Wheel setup- this has the older and stronger design.

p.s. I just bought a Renault 30 turbo d in poo brown and similar condition

    Daniel,

Lucky you they are an even nicer car than the 20. I drove around 3000 K's in a V6 R30 in France in 2012. Does it have all the little extras. Mine had them but they didn't work. I would love a brand new R30 with all the options. Better than a modern car for comfort ride etc. Unfortunately R30's were not sold in Australia. They would have been a better car to sell here than the 20 as at the time we were big car buyers with big engines not 2 litres.

    Hi,
I just noticed it is not rust but just dirt... It might even be wax-oiled as it has a rubber plug in the driver's door opening which is not standard. Looks like it does not have air con.

The Phase 1 has the nicer interior:
1977 renault 20TS, 1 owner from new, recent barn find, excellent condition | eBay

@sunroof: A R30 turbodiesel is just a R20 with fancy bumpers & lights, not the real v6 thing - but more economical. The new intercooled td engine was expensive-so they sold the car at the same price as the R30 V6. Here is mine:

What you are really missing is my 1983 R 30TX which is slowly undergoing restoration in Melb.

    Bingham Driver,

Congratulations on the purchase of your "new" R20. It is good to see another 20 going to a new home. I own a 1979 series 1 R20TS and have owned it since 1984. It is still a daily driver and still going strong after 334,500km. If at any time you decide the car is not going to be driven and becomes a parts car, can you please keep me in mind. Parts are becoming harder and harder to find, so knowing the whereabouts of any other 20s is good to know.

    Hi Gats,
only had a quick perusal so far, & apart from clutch & brake cyls needing reco, things are lookin good. Only a couple of surface rust 'spots' although I'm yet to check out any cooling system corrosion or if the engine will turn.
Generally lookin nice, loverly interior, almost brand new tyres. Shedded the whole time probably helped. PM me your Ph No & I'll keep you 1st cab off the rank, just in case.
    cheers.
