    Default R8 valve job (upgrades?)

Hello all... I am having the valves done on my stock 1132. Are there upgrades, valve springs, etc. that I should consider beyond a stock redo? Thanks, Ben

Is it possible to use a 1300 head on an 1100 ? Would it be worth it?

I would not do that, The 1300 will have a bigger combustion chamber for the bigger volume per cylinder and if you put that on the 1100 the compression ratio will be unexceptably low.

Also, the cylinder spacing may be different depending on the compatibility of the blocks. So two reasons not to really try.

If you use that 1300 head you might be able to run the car on kerosene once it has warmed up.... About 75 octane would do the job!

Seriously, we had both 6-port and 8-port heads for the 1100 engines. The Aust. "R10S" model had the 8-port heads, and the early 956cc R8s. Your man Jacques would know and might have an option for you.

I have decided to go bone stock. Probably wise to sort the car into a good runner before making dramatic changes. Thanks for the help!
