Default Hydraulics: Replace or Re-sleeve with Stainless?

The Dauphine will need the brake master cylinder & all wheel cylinders replaced or reconditioned.

I'm assuming after standing around for 30 years, they will be so pitted that re-rubbering will be a waste of time & money. That's also assuming I can unscrew the unions & the bleed nipples. I've got my doubts- crescent spanners notwithstanding.

I'd prefer to re-sleeve with stainless steel because they will never pit again, but, during my last projects (Land Rover MG & VW) the replacements were so much cheaper I followed the line of least resistance. A lot of British cylinders are dirt cheap. They are sourced from India & seem to have come from a time warp as they arrive wrapped in wax paper & coated in grease that smells like Lee Enfield rifles.

Renault units are not what you'd call inexpensive by the time you add air freight.

    What have others done? Comments??

Not just Landies. MG, in fact MOST BMC's.

Just do a search on eBay for BSF taps & dies & see where they are selling them from!
