Doesn't matter what it looks like or how it goes it's not an R4 unless it has the gear lever on the dash.

The size difference in the wheels is huge.

Icon14 I feel a good promo coming on - outback hi jinks round Australia

Great Find Col - even if the second? one had a poojoe add sneak in, easy to hit skip add.

I can imagine a great Australian promo for the release with 10 of the four wheel drive models suitably set up with Kangaroo burning spot lights, racked luggage and spares playing tag team around Australia (and Tasmania too) lots of good humoured interviews and selected drivers just enjoying what these cars can do

I reckon that would be the go if Renault Australia is game - would even get some of the young and famous past drivers into the act. and some selected on side motoring journo's too - suitable charities involved.

    How about it!

I don't think I saw a wheel turn in the videos. I confess,I didn't watch them all to the end. It looks like a photoshop to me.
I think that the carry-all concept (a toolbox on wheels) is brilliant.
I agree with Dave, that it HAS to have a dash mounted gear selector.
A Renault 4/5/6 has the best shift that I've ever driven. Fast, efficient, a great talking point (if you can chat over the engine thrash) as well as a great place to hang the shopping or handbag!

4wd (which was available back in the day via Sinpar) would be a great thing.
    Air con as well.

Other than that the R4 is not all that broken. It doesn't need much fixing in my mind.
