Its got "Blown Renault" written on the top of then windscreen, does that mean the motor is blown, or it has forced induction of some sort.... The rear door isn't a very good fit.

    That's Damian Gardiner's old car.
Had some fairly substantial mods and development I hear.
David cavanagh will know more of the car.

These pic's were before the Camira EFI The holley carb only gave 1km per litre of Avgas quite expensive to do a sprint at Winton or Sandown.

Here ya go Col the Camira injector manifold on the adaptor plate I made the blower swapped to the other side tween the wheel arch and the extractors I also made from bends bought from muffler shop.

If you click on either pic. it'll open the photobucket album of the build of the blower and R18 front end to rear conversion.

The f/glass hood at left rear is hiding an intercooler and an R16 thermo fan sucking air from wheel arch.

Thanks for the pics Damien and also the link to photobucket.

I'm planning on using on Renault 17TS injection setup with Camira EFI computer, injectors and sensors being controlled by Kalmaker software.

    Sounds like a plan Col.
The Distributor was a custom rebuild by Performance ignitions set at static 23 degrees advance to suit the blower.

In the gumtree ad the bonnet and wing are missing too as well as damage to the rear d/side door these were just about skins with 80% of the frame cut out the rear doors were held shut with a 6mm bolt as I recall The instrument cluster has gone as well someone's fiddled with the car the seller seems to think I'm the 3rd builder some bullshit artist has told him lies.
Part of my name is still visible on the front guard.

I'd say not been used since I sold it the seller is a relative of the buyer.
here's his reply to my email.
Quote" Hi mate sorry for being a bit harsh but u do get a few weirdos that lie on here I got the car off my pop who passed a few years ago and he got it off his brother allan who passed about three years ago he is the one in camber field u speak off "

    Another email from the seller.

Quote "Yeah me pop brought off him and wanted to fix it and take it Dow the strip as time went got sicker and sicker so he got some one else in kurrumburra to finish it cost just a bit over 5000 my old man said so that's the reason for sale trying to get nan sum off money back as for the bonnet and wing they are there I just took the photo to c if any interest on gum tree I don't deal about the car I just know how much pop spent roughly on it As for pops brother allan who passed 2/3 years ago his wife did have tumor and she passed away last yr"

Bit hopeful I got $2500 though I spent somewhere above $8000 butb I admire he trying to get cash for his Nan.

He hasn't a clue about it though I doubt the EFI is still on it as the chap who bought it from me contacted me to see if I still had the 4 barrel Holley carb and manifold s wanted them I did have the manifold and a 4 barrel Delorto carb which I got $75 for.
It's great to see it's still alive like my first R8

I re-shelled the car back when I first owned it in the early eighties before it went to Russell Mckenzie.I used a late R8 body and removed all the panels from your original car. So she still exists in some form !!
