Default my fuego turned 30 this month

It makes me feel old in saying this as I remember when they were a new car, but my fuego has turned 30.

As a present to it I'll get it some new shoes and during school holidays try and give it a new heart. The old one has a bit of a murmur.

It has been a bit neglected this last few years but it will get a face lift over christmas. New panels, rust removed and a bit of paint splashed over it.

I remember when they were new too. I thought they were a good looking thing back then. I still think they're good lookin' now. I was looking at replacing an aging Gemini back in '87, with something secondhand but not as secondhand as my Gemini, lol. I narrowed the field down to a Triumph TR7 and a Fuego. I bought the TR7 for the wedgy shape and (I was a young fella at the time) probably the novelty of the pop-up headlights.
I've still got that TR7, but I still look at Fuegos and marvel at how well the shape has aged (in my eyes, anyway).

Reminds me of all the nice things I need to do to spruce up my Fuego too, its a race between the Laguna and the Fuego for some TLC!

    Join the club.
Mine did the same in April.
    How many others are there?
Hopefully more than 20 as in England with "How many left".

My would have been 31 this year.
I wonder what has happened to it, I sold it to a mechanic a few years back that lives in the inner west of Sydney, but no one has seen or heard of it since.
Surely a bright yellow Fuego can't be that hard to miss.

I want a car that is easy to miss....as in so other cars would stop hitting it.

Maybe that's your problem Jo. Your Fuego blends in with the street scape and as a result people keep running into it.
Now if it was painted in a bright retina burning colour people would drive off the road to avoid the pain!
No one ever drove into my Fuego!
