Default Anyone from here bidding on an RX4 on Ebay?

I thought I'd better check that I wasn't in a bidding war with a fellow Frogger for an RX4 on Ebay?

It's a 'want', not a 'need' buy for me so if someone here has their heart set on it I'll bail.

It still hasn't hit reserve, and the wife will probably go ballistic if I go beyond 2K anyway...

Early bidding on Ebay only bumps the price up.
    I highly recommend Auction Sniper.
It automatically bids for you up to your set limit a few seconds before the auction ends.

As Mistareno says the car had to hit reserve so you sort of need to find the reserve before early bidding becomes an issue. As a general rule you are right and nearly everyone is leaving their bidding to the end, everyone who is bidding early is really just kidding or you could say 'tell them that they are dreaming'. Sometimes I have been offered an item, second chance offer, when I was in the end the third or fourth highest bidder- this suggests that the higher bidders were not genuine or a buyers plant. So the only ebay rule I use is decide what the item is worth to you and bid that. Often you walk away and that's fine.

Yep, that's how I play the game too.
If I think it's worth $2000, I will put in a bid of $2001 just to make sure I beat anyone who may think the same.
Sometimes I'll get it for less, sometimes for my maximum bit and sometimes I lose out.
    Cheers Renomad
