    Where did you find that?

Just worked out which event that was, only one windscreen wiper, that means it was the last event, Sainsbury Road.

Yes Rob I am enjoying the racing very much.

    Hi Ross,
Congratulations on a fantastic looking car. It goes bloody well also, going by the short snippets on the Youtube scenes.

You have done Dauphines very proud with your presentation.

And thank you Frans for all your input, I know it is quite a bit.

    Ross,
    Looks fantastic!
From the number plate at the front, have been able to successfully register this car for the road as well?
If so how did you do get it past the road authority testers?

Its not actually registered at the moment, it used to be but I have put the rego "on hold". Everything is there for a warrant of fitness, all I would need is a Motorsport Authority Card to allow me to have the cage, harnesses, race seats, plastic glazing and hydraulic hand brake in a road registered car. All fairly straight forward, but because I dont use it on the road (except for my late night testing runs) I dont see the point in paying a whole lot of money to register it.

If I decide to do another Targa or tarmac rally I will have to register it then.

That thing looks mean in a jolly way. Better than an R8G, I have to say.

Do 'like' the left front tyre wear saving method, Roger the Hell out of the engine and make the rears rotate the chassis....the only way!

Thanks all for your kind comments.

Its interesting when you go to events and see peoples reactions to the car. Apart from the usual "the engine is missing" when I lift the boot lid, most people are fasinated by it and really interested to see something different and ask lots of questions. One thing is for certain it surely gets noticed.

That combined with the performance I am starting to get out of it makes for a very enjoyable time. I would encourage anyone with an interest in motorsport to get out there and start racing, it doesnt need to cost a lot, the type of events I am doing at the moment are all club events and entry fee is about $60 to $80 for the day. Add to that travel costs and a bit of fuel for the race car and its a fairly cheap day out.

Frans is the same, even though he does a different type of racing its all still done on a limited budget but unlimited fun.

That is one awesome photo Frans. Great car Ross! I don't think I've seen better of a track Dauphine.

We're just home - I was only here for three days after seeing you, for which many thanks again.

    Cheers
