Default 1964 Renault Caravelle valve sizes ??

    Possibly another one for Simon.

The 1964 Caravelle I have has a 688-03 engine (Engine No. 12337) and as far as can tell, still has it's original head.
Markings on the Head are as follows; Number (2563536); 71; 2J; F09

Can you tell me if the inlet and exhaust valves are R10S valves or just standard R10 valves?

Presuamably the camshaft is a standard R10 Cam ? I have no way of telling enless I measure the lift using a DTI.

This will end my research, thankyou for your help with these questions.

    Cheers

Originally the valves are standard Renault 10 Normale sized, so inlet 31.2mm, exhaust 26.8mm.

Thought as much. Thank you Simon.

The valve guides on my Caravelle head are worn some so I'm in the throws of obtaining a R10S head.
I'll recodition it and at an appropriate time change heads. No doubt the R10S head will breath a lot better especially coupled up to my Weber twin throat downdraft.

    Thanks again
