Does anyone know where I can get two new trailing arms p/n 77 00 543 148 for my R 12 Wagon?

PS- That Taksim Group in Turkey has everything under the sun listed for R 12's and many other models too. They sell NONE of it! I have tired for months to get them to sell me anything. No go.

Always had trouble finding these. I have thought about using what the Hot Rodders use.

Also worth a try, if not already tried, is Alpine-America. They are the Mecaparts stockist located in Canada, and Lifestyle Renault (google both) in the UK are also quite helpful in searching for older model or other market (outside of UK) stock, especially as you are helpful and already have the part number. They may also be able to help with the timing chain guides.

They do come up on ebay every now and then. You just have to insist.

They do have bits and pieces in Turkey and other east european countries, but the trick is to get them here. Go on turkish ebay (or hungarian, bulgarian etc) and try there.

I had success looking on spanish ebay as well, they made the 12 there and have some really interesting weird stuff (like twin square headlights).

Trawling the internets, I found some parts are listed on ebay for "Dacia" which is what the R12 was called in romania where again you may find parts (they had a good shop online, can't find it anymore) but I am not sure if they ship here.

Typically the reason you want new ones is because the rubber bushes have split. You can replace these with nolathane, two half bushes that push in from either side. One of our members from SA even posted part numbers before the Great Fire.

I used the Nolathane bushes in my R12 rally car in the 1980s. They really helped with the handling.

You don't happen to remember the part number?

Still love to get some leads on what bushes we could use to rejuvenate the original arms.

If this turns out to be a dead end I'll explore getting some made.

Exfrogger, if you have an arm without bushes, just visit your friendly local Nolathane stockist and they'll find what fits.

I know searching for past threads has become next to impossible but I know all this has been said before. I put the brand and part numbers for poly urethane bushes for these rear ends on here, perhaps a couple of years ago. Once you could find all your own old posts but apparently not any more.
