That is almost enough to make me a R12 convert... Except for the steering wheel that is.

That's a little ball tearer and I doubt the engine is missing but may just need new points.
Every day when I wake up I reach up in the darkness with my eyes shut and if I cannot feel anything that resembles a wooden lid I know it will be a good day. No lid today.

    RCCA member.
Has owned the car quite a long time and looked after it.
It has won it's class at our AFCD at least once that I am aware of pretty sure.

    Good price too.
Surprised it hasn't been snapped up yet.

I have a 17TL gearbox for it, then just need to borrow the 17TL engine out of the 4CV and hey presto, you have a nice cruiser with a bit of pep
    cheers,

I was thinking the same. I have a 17 engine and 5speed box that would slot in nicely.

That said, I think it'd be fine as is.

you only have to drive it in one direction after a flight to Sydney. My driveway/footpath does not have room for additional cars

Hey, it has four cylinders' worth of engine according to the description! All 1250 cc of it. And that's quite enough (yes, I've got a 17 engine sleeping here as well at the end of a 5 speeder).

God they look brilliant these wagons.

Yep, that steering wheel is kak, but I've got my dad's original 12 steering wheel here just waiting to get some action again, ten years after the car has gone to R12 heaven.

I wonder if the dude is moving this way, might get it and give him the chance to drive it across the country.

Had a drive in it last night, very impressive. Goes and stops really well. Owner is a mechanic so its very well maintained. It's a reluctant sale due to the fact he needs a car with air con where they are moving too.

This is a very rare, classic R12 wagon. Looks lovely.

I get all misty having owned two of them in the past. Someone should buy it and cherish what it is and not mess with it. Sydney is a long way from Perth and so on.......

Our second R12 wagon had AC. It can be done and with an under-dash unit really pumps out icy cold air. The issue is fitting the condenser and getting air through it.

I reckon he's going to regret selling it. I had a 12 1.4 with dealer fit A/C. It wasn't a great installation but it can be done and I reckon he should fit air to this one and keep it. How often do you see a 12 wagon this clean?
    cheers,

    John

My first car was an R12 just like this, but I'd much prefer a sedan now.

Sold .... Awaiting payment. I am told it's going to a good home on the south coast of Sydney. Very happy for the seller.
