Their apparent rarity consigned one of my R4's to scrap back in the early eighties. Handling characteristics had become diabolically unpredictable on dirt roads.
Don't it always seem to go that you don't know what you've got 'til it's gone............

Firstly, in all correspondence to parts merchants include the identity details for the car itself. There are numerous differences between an Australian assembled 1965 model year R4 and a French assembled 1965 model year car.

The main identifier on an old Renault is the Oval Plate number. On an R4, the number is located on an obviously oval shaped plate located on the bulkhead adjacent to the bonnet latch (next to a diamond shaped chassis number plate). The oval plate number is the main identifier for the vehicle for parts purposes.

The first place to try would be Renospeed in the UK, he has an indepth knowledge of R4's and if he can't supply, he will know who can:

Welcome to Renospeed | Renault 4 Specialists | Renospeed

Then it would also be worth popping the query on Clementine's R4 Forum: Clementine's Renault 4 Garage

But don't forget to include the oval plate number to assist in identifying the correct parts for your car.

If all else fails, what is the feasibility of crafting some polyurethane ones from "billet" (or modifying stock ones that are close enough in dimensions)? Peter

Could or couldn't? Assuming couldn't, did he suggest anywhere else? Also did you try a shoutout on Clementine's R4 forum?

What type of suspension is it? Anchor lever or cam adjust?

Icon14 a Picture is helpful in finding hard to get stuff

A picture is often a good way of sourcing difficult to find suspension bushes, accompanied of course with suitable dimensions! Most of us who have a hoarding instinct (it might come in handy) do have at least one box or drawer of unidentified suspension bits and bobs that we have hopes of identifying one day and making someone happy

    I'm fairly confident that
    Der franzose*
    Melun Retro Passion
will have the bits you need. From memory they are about 30 euro for one and 70 per bush each side (200euro) roughly $300aud*
It's VERY unlikely that these 75-100mm bushes/ brackets will be found in old stock in the bottom drawer of someones filing cabinet in Australia.
    Good luck

You WILL need to ascertain the fabrication number of the vehicle. As mentioned earlier, the main identifier on an old Renault is the Oval Plate number. On an R4, the number is located on an obviously oval shaped plate located on the bulkhead under the front bonnet adjacent to the bonnet latch (next to a diamond shaped chassis number plate). The oval plate number is the main identifier for the vehicle for parts purposes.

I will bore people and bang on about it. The reason for supplying the fabrication number to parts vendors is important, because in 1966 there were significant changes to the rear suspension from an anchor lever type to cam adjustment. The inner rear bush and bracket for the early cars is different to that of the later cars, and the later type won't fit. If the perceived 1965 model year ID is incorrect, the wrong parts could be supplied. Therefore to prevent aggro to all parties, due to incorrect parts supply, it helps to accurately identify which parts are required for the intended vehicle by supplying the fabrication number (a likely six-figure number stamped below R1123 on the above mentioned oval plate).

Plus one Simon. The trouble may also be that you can very easily change the rear end on the 4 so these numbers may even be irrelevant. Most sure way is to pull the parts out and get the old verniers out as there are MULTIPLE bearing sizes, lengths, protrusions etc.
