    Default Renault 8S in Mexico

You don't see/hear much of Renault 8S cars. This nice red one appears to have cross-pollinated with a USA Dauphine looking at the incorrect bumpers. The seller has some interesting script for his eBay ad - that language barrier thing It's still nice to see an R8S though

That looks quite neat! And the Dauphine bumpers are correct for a Mexican built car.

Simon, question for you. I thought the 8S had the same carby/manifold as our 10S? This one doesn't.

I'll take the question on notice, and check the details in the library. It looks like a Solex fitted to the US spec cars, and judging from the carbon canister also in there, it is probably an emissionised set-up of some sort.

The bumpers always seem to be some sort of thing altered for local content. I'm glad the AUS market local assembly cars retained their original good looks.

The South African R10 also had an odd local/R8 bumper arrangement.

Nope, the library can't help either. So I've no idea on the specs of the carby on that car.
