    Default Renault Fuego Quadra

Being the glutton for punishment I am, my trailer now contains the Gearbox, Propshaft and complete rear subframe from a Forester XT....

I'm sure it'll all just bolt straight up to the Fuego

    Watch this space.

Are you seriously going to have the rear wheels sticking out almost three inches per side?

The stock track is 85mm wider than I'm currently running at the rear.

2 degrees of negative camber will remove most of that

Wouldn't it be easier to get something like this and just swap the shells and as a carpenter once told me, if in doubt, give it a clout, bigger the doubt, bigger the clout :-

Damaged 1999 Subaru Impreza WRX Sedan 4D Sedan ? Accident Damaged Sedan 4D Sedan and Salvage for Sale ? Manheim Salvage Auction

And to cap it off, you could re-shell the Feugo with WRX and sell it on e-bay posing as an oil rig worker to help cover the costs

How can a write-off be repairable in this day and age? If it's written off, surely it's VIN is recorded as such? Maybe the ad should read, damaged, repairable?

As I understand, Statutory write off can not be repaired and re-registered, repairable write off can, but you have to have the vehicle inspected and part with $400.00 to have the status removed. Legal terminology often has very specific meanings. The inspection process is more about trying to prevent re-birthing of stolen cars than about the integrity of the repairs.

Why? Because the rear track is 40mm wider than the front. That engineering idea went out with the DS and certainly doesn't apply to awd cars....
