I was going to say, "This has Jo Proffi written all over it.", but then I noticed you are in Melbourne.

It might help to post a little more detail or a photo seeing as the fuego is now 30 years old and can range from pristine to total rust buckets, and then of course there are those occasional super fuegos out there where someone has spent alot of time and money. (found one of those once and didn't even realise until i started looking at what it was made of)

    Anyway, good luck.

Sorry, for the no reply, I've been reducing my back-up supply of parts mainly by tying in other bits and pieces, if you take this, you get this too, and of course trying to successfully place other complete cars that have been offered around Melbourne. there are people who do need parts and complete cars, and generally they a buying/acquiring at a bargain price. I sort of built up a couple of back up cars as they were offered or bought, but the Lady of the house seriously curtailed that ability of recent years.

Hopefully someone will take up DaveR18's kind offer - you can bet that just after you pass it on or scrap it, someone will desperately want one the next week!!

I do have a fuego engine in the garage that I was keeping for a spare for both the fuego and the r18. I didn't really want to get rid of it but you could have it for $300

Sounds like me taking CX's .... I pretty much always take free CX's if there local. They provide people with parts for years... I just leave 'em sit in the paddock. Either someone keeps them ... even out in the weather or they'll be gone forever within a very short time.

These day these cars can be worth a couple of hundred in scrap metal, so there gone unless someone beats the crushers too them

Hey nathan225 it has sat in the garage for ages and I honestly can't remember where i got it but if I kept it as a spare then I'm pretty sure it would run, worst case scenario it might need a head gasket I would think the bottom end would be ok

Have a couple out there technically, but yes you're still first in line for that.

This summer will hopefully be the one I spend some time out there and make the local scrappy very happy...

Bob, watching this thread as I came home to a recorded phone message from a Darren? wanting similar parts, as requested by Nathan 225 but unfortunately the phone number left on the machine defeats deciphering!! if Nathan is Darren ? a return call might help.

Sorry for the cryptic reply, tried three combinations ?? all wrong numbers.

Hopefully its all sorted out by now anyway with parts secured to keep another Fuego on the road!!

    Ken

I think it's a motorkhana car. I'm still trying to work out how he broke a crank. I thought that'd be my achievement...

    Ken,
Bob (as you may know) is on the move... he may be very busy and not see your post for a while. He's also running off mobile BB connection too. So he may be "rationing" usage.

    cheers
