Certainly not the Dauphinoise. The 845cc Ventoux engined version introduced for the 1956 model year.
For Australia, the sedan version equivalent Juvaquatre was introduced in 1938 in two door form and sold as either the Renault Eight or Renault Nine. Then in 1947 the post-WW2 Juvaquatre was introduced to Australia with four-doors, and fully imported. The Juvaquatre Break (earlier equivalent of the Dauphinoise, with the side-valve 1003cc motor, and later 747cc motor) is not known to have been imported.

There was a dude selling a sedan as an unfinished project in Sydney about a year ago. It was red, in storage and complete.
I can't remember where I saw the ad. Was in AF, Unique Cars or another website?
Cheers Renomad

Didn't they say it was at Cooma wrecking yard? That was some years ago of course. Perhaps someone will have an update on it's status.
Around 25 years ago there was a blue sidevalve Juva that lived at Redbank near Brisbane. It was registered, and in reasonable condition
and was owned by a guy that worked at Redbank Railway Workshops. He was looking to sell it way back then for not a lot of money, but needed an engine transplant to give it some pace in my opinion.

Nice find, and a panel van as well. If only it could talk, it'd be interesting to know its history, as there seem to have been a few Renault commercials sold in the immediate post WW2 period, 23 in 1949 and 36 in 1950, yet very few, if any, survivors. Likely because of the hard short lives commercial vehicles generally have.
Attached are pics of the Juvas that I know of, the beige pre-WW2 two-door from an SA FCD many years ago, a blue post-WW2 four-door in Victoria about 10 years ago, and a contemporary feature for the Nine.
For the pre-WW2 Juva, there was also an Australian made tourer in the range, which is quite interesting given the early monocoque construction of the sedan versions. It's appearance being similar to the contemporary Ford Anglia Tourer. There was one in the Bay to Birdwood a few years ago from NT, and there was a rusty survivor awaiting restoration a few years ago out at Gawler.
Another interesting one would be the four-door version that was restored by Renault Australia in the 1970's, the body being painted in the factory paint booth in its original pale grey colour.
