From a Dulux Dulon All Fleet formula guide #16

    French Blue
    526 - 12096
526 line is Dulon A-type solid Acrylic Laquer
Tinter / setting (Mark V Machine)
    01012 / 122
    19174 / 350
    05656 / 500

    Tinters
01012 is white in the 515 line of tinters DULON tinter
19174 is Violet in the 515 line of tinters DULON tinter
05656 is Mid Blue in the 515 line of tinters DULON tinter

Incidently the only Renault one I could find was

    Renault Orange

    526 -1071
    Tinter / Setting
    16927 / 292
    01012 / 386
    00740 / 391
    05439 / 500

16927 is Bright Orange in the 515 line of tinters.
01012 is White in the 515 line of tinters
00740 is Reduced Black in the 515 line of tinters.
05439 is Mid Yellow in the 515 line of tinters

    Or
    Renault Orange

    393 - 10369 (393 Line - DULUX Solid or Metallic Spraying Enamel)
    Tinter / Setting
01025 / 463 Bright Orange in the 373 line of tinters
01040 / 465 Deep Red in the 373 line of tinters
01012 / 500 White in the 373 line of tinters.

Metallics warning O.k. for re-sprays and dressing up old models - however for maximum durability of "glamour" metallics, the only satisfactory materials are DULON * A-type Acrylic Laquer and ACRAN* Acrylic Enamel.

    ACRAN 414 line of tinters.
    01025 is Bright Orange.
    01040 is deep Red
19206 is High Opacity White (only white shown in this range)

Renault (Aust.) Pty. Ltd. Fleet owner - Renault orange 10781
    Renault Orange 10369

Hope this is of some help.

    Ken

Forgot the French Blue Metallic codes.

393 - 12096 (393 line DULUX Solid or Metallic Spraying enamel)

    Tinter / Setting
14189 / 196 Mid Blue (ACRAN tinter Mid Blue same #)
    01013 / 300 Violet (ACRAN tinter Violet same #)
01012 / 500 White (ACRAN tinter #19206 Hi Opacity White)

The R8's (I'm speaking non-gordini's) that I have owned or come across were painted in paints made by "Balm". My R8 has a sticker on the bulkhead "Balm Paints" with some other writing (mine was produced in Billancourt in mid "64). Whilst the Gordinis were slightly later, there is a fair chance that the manufacturer would be the same unless the was a global change or a change at one particular factory(ies) in the supplier of paint. Can't help with paint codes I'm afraid.

Unless a Renault in Australia has a stencilled paint code, anything with a Balm, Dulux Spartan or Berger sticker was assembled in AUS from a CKD kit.
