That's nice. Early 1950s car, presumably in the French or Swiss Alps. I imagine the photo is contemporary.

    Thanks for posting.

It is now clearer to me why the number plate backing sheet is so large in 4CVs. Cop the numeral size!

After helping reassemble one that was a parts car in a previous life, I have a real appreciation for that one. It even has a sunroof and roll up front Windows just like ours.
These are truly excellent little machines and it chagrins me that so few survive.

Do you guys know there is a 750 in the Beenleigh Historical Village in Main St near the roundabout?

Have no pictures, I think but I will ask Mum, but we had a couple of 750s growing up and once Mum and Dad drove to Adelaide and back from Melbourne - with us 4 kids in the back!

It could be worse. We have about 80-100 in Oz, similar number in UK, and maybe 1000 in France. There was a guy doing a world-wide census a few years ago, and I guess there'd be 1500-2000 left overall.

I've been driving mine today and they are a joy driven within their limits.

It's good isn't it? I've tarted it up a bit which helps. We weren't at all sure where it was taken, but certainly not in France judging by the rego number.

    c. 1.1 million but never mind, I take the point. It's a pity about unitary construction, unpainted internal surfaces & tin-worm :-(((

Hmmm. I either read something wrong or the page I learned that on was incorrect. What I truly remember is being flabbergasted at the sheer number of cars built in the first 5 or 6 years. It was monumental.
