    Default crankshaft difference

    Back again
Is there any difference between Gordini crank, rod, piston & rings from a Dauphine 850?

The crankshaft of the 670-05 Gordini motor is manufactured to tighter tolerances, with roll-hardened crank journals.

The conrods for the later Dauphine Normale and the Dauphine Gordini motor are the same, however there are different weight grades. So all four conrods must be the same weight.

The pistons and rings are the same for both the Dauphine Normale, and the Dauphine Gordini R1091. They were upgraded from four ring pistons to three ring pistons circa 1960.
