Off to Winton Raceway on Monday with 'MURRAY'. He's been fitted with some 325/50/15 semi-slicks on the rear.
After the 4 sec PB improvement in Dec after fitting the camber compensator, it would be super fantastic to drop another 2 or 3. Using this track day as a shakedown before entering the Pedders/Midland Sprint Series.
    Wish me luck.

Good luck Roger, I'd be interested to hear how the camber compensator affects things...
Every day when I wake up I reach up in the darkness with my eyes shut and if I cannot feel anything that resembles a wooden lid I know it will be a good day. No lid today.

Nudder day on track, hot, bloody hot. Still managed a 1:45:53 so happy with a 2 sec improvement. The camber compensator might need a tweak as the outer half of the tyres took a hiding. Its great to outdo a good deal of modern 'pocket rockets' & a couple of 5lt dinosaurs in a 43yr old machine. Murray sounds awsome at 'full noise' & so say a few spectators.

Brings back fond memories with my R8 in the mid 70's then in the late 90's with my ever evolving supercharged R10 Sports Sedan.

It really is great enjoyment just yourself and car against the clock it's my greatest regret that health made me give up driving.
    Health and good fortune always,
    Damien.

Very well done!! It is a good feeling and even better is we always have an excuse/story. " I beat you and your car is bigger and newer than mine" or "I gave you a run for your money although your car is bigger and newer than mine" Things like that is my justification for racing the G and I love it!
