Default Virage sealed beam lights and radio?

    Hi:
What do people these days do when a sealed beam headlight fails, not working on low beam? Can you still buy these Lucas sealed beam lights? Can you replace them with something else? Also does anyone have a working radio it's a Fujitsu Ten Ltd model no AT-3500-1 that I'm looking to replace or is there someone that fixes up old car radios?

    Thanks
    Geoff

There is a law against doing more than 100kmh...there's no law on how fast you get to 100kmh!!!

Depending on your budget and requirements, you could also replace the 5.75" sealed beam lights with H4 halogen inserts. They should be obtainable from a decent auto parts store.

Hi Geoff, one of the best things I ever did to my Virage was fit a Narva H3 conversion head light kit. Outers were 55/100w and inners were 100w. I didn't use relays but you should. The wiring and alternator didn't seem to be a problem and these lights left most modern car lights for dead! Absolute tumble weed burners! You could use a more conservative approach with lower wattage globes but you'll never go back to sealed beams again
    cheers,

    John

I think you can also still buy the sealed beams from auto places too, but agree a Halogen conversion would be best depending on the use of the car.

I had a Datsun 1600 years ago that also uses 5.75 units. I put Cibie Z Beams in of a similar wattage to what JMan suggests. Great lights.
