    Default Fuego Remote Batteries

    Hi guys
I'm wanting to install batteries in the original remote but I'm not sure what goes in there. The car manual only shows the older style remote with the round press button in the middle which takes LR9 batteries, but mine has the later rectangular remote and LR9's are too big. Any ideas?
    Thanks

How about taking the remote and/or batteries to a local electronics store? Surely they could tell you what suits.

The battery should have a number on it most types are available on ebay cheaply if you can wait the postage delay.

All of my working fuego plips have 3 x Varta V390 (modern style rather than the original mercury button cells) fitted.

In refitting the cells watch that the internal holding plastic leg doesn't break off, if it does the plip will still work, but wont lift the cells out of the terminals when opened.

so what was your real aim, to fit a battery or unlock the doors???

If the latter, did it work????
