    This is very encouraging.

It would be nice to see a dealership or two appointed within the major regional centres of NSW, such as Tamworth, Dubbo etc.

    Cheers,

    K

Sunshine Renault on the Gold Coast was a replacement for Cartwrights (who had financial difficulties). It was all arranged however in a couple of weeks - which demonstrates some commitment and drive on behalf of Renault Australia.

Nope, it is going to Regents Group who are giving Proton the flick. Showroom will be updated over the next couple of months with the first cars arriving in about 3 weeks time. These guys are good operators so should be a great dealership in the right spot. Best of luck to them. A country Renault dealer is also being negotiated as we speak....

PS Henleys was much more to do with the Gardiner family wanting to dispose of assets post Brians death than the failure of Renault. Some months they outsold Melville Renault who is now constantly one of Australia's top 3 Renault dealers. The land was actually owned by them and was sold lock stock and barrel to Joe Crisafio. No doubt the failure of SAAB & Hummer had already sealed the deal.

Ahh ok, so on other side of Lynfords. At least they won't be on the part of Scarborough Beach Road around Hutton Street, the traffic can be bloody terrible down there these days. Good luck to them, hopefully it will mean a more permanent presence for Renault north of the river.

All of which makes perfect sense. Valuable bit of land!

Our 17 year-old 306 is stubbornly reliable and stubbornly loved by my wife, so it'll be a while before we do anything serious in the Renault department.

I look forward to the new dealership. Just home again by the way, so forgive lack of visiting the CX collection....

These new dealers are very promising. This can only be good for Renault.

It would be good if we had a Renault dealer here in Northern Tasmania.

We haven't had a Renault dealer since David Lewis and that was when Fuego's and R18's were in vogue.

It might inspire me and others to buy the later offerings from Renault and have confidence that there is some close by to service the cars.

I still think little old Adelaide town could benefit from having more than just the two dealers (both the same company). I reckon one out South would work, perhaps out Reynella way ...
    cheers,

    It seems...

    AMR Renault
    26 - 32 Halloran Street, Lilyfield, NSW, 2040
    Phone: (02) 8755 2050

... are expanding and/or moving to a more prominent location.
Coming home from the footy last night I'd seen that they had a 'temporary' location next door to the AMR Mazda dealer on Parramatta Rd, Petersham/Annandale.
Then further down Parramatta Rd I saw the big banner proclaiming the site of a new AMR Renault dealer on the corner with Hawthorne Parade, Haberfield. Unmissable for city bound traffic!
    Cheers Renomad
